This is true, the light that reaches us from a star started its travel light years ago. You indicate this in a poetic way and make the lines memorable while doing it. Good read!
Love this synergy between humans and stars. I deeply feel that symbiosis of witnessing and being witnessed by all things universal.
I also totally relate to repeated themes and words arising in my poetry. I think it's maybe part of what makes a poet's style? Also some pieces are a twist on a theme, or catch it better the next time.
I hear the hesitation, I've felt that too, but this lovely piece is an example of why another one demands to be written!
Star gazing… we will always be, as we are just now… Adam, this is beautiful. Stardust across words, across worlds, across the universe and back again. 🩶
Our repetitions teach us things about the rhythms of our lives.
True!

Thanks, Luis!
Lovely piece, and nice to submeet you 🙂
Thank you, Brian! Nice to meet you, too. :)
Oh please, do repeat yourself!
Thank you, Fotini! 😊

'Symbiosis of witnessing' is a great way of phrasing what I was musing on here. Thanks for taking the time to comment! :)
Think of art or poetry as comparable to a flowing river. The same spot is constantly changing over times we always say it’s the same river.
I like the 'same spot in the river' analogy, Stanley! :)
Yes, yes, yes… I was reviewing edits for my manuscript this week and I return again and again to the ordinary moments and wonder of life.
Thank you for commenting, LeeAnn! Over the years I've really come to love editing — that perpetual return you speak of is a big part of why.

Thank you, Heidi! 😊
One of my (many) favorite things about art is the re-exploration of an idea or theme or exploration. I always learn something new.
Keep nerding out. ❤️
I promise to always nerd out. ❤️
