Yesterday was a day of strong light and shadow, and on such days one can see the horizontal layers which compose our local cliffs. The view reminded me of this poem I wrote in February, when snow was doing the work of May sunshine:
Layer Upon Layer
The clouds today are stacked in great gray disks layer upon layer all the way up moving even as we watch, and on the distant cliffs carved by this river dusted snow reveals the eons layer upon layer all the way down, shifting so slowly we can barely imagine as we walk our path between heaven and earth, laughing and talking, futures and pasts, layer upon layer side by side.
I hope this poem finds you well, as you walk your path this week.

What even are time and change and movement, that happen at such different speeds and yet simultaneously?
Lots of paradox layered beautifully in these images, Adam. Thank you.
My, that is a beautiful one! Lovely imagery here!
