Poem No. 177
This is so perfectly stated. I love it. And I am wearing one my favorite pairs of Darn Toughs that just seem to get better with age, just like us!
Thank you, Tara! I'm pretty rough on socks, so I have yet to find a pair that gets better with age. But I keep looking!
Really nice
I'm glad you enjoyed the poem, Pete! Thanks for taking the time to comment. :)
Dam another stunner - so glad to be reading your work this cold autumn morning in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Thanks, Dick! I'm glad you enjoyed this. :)
Great poem and your thoughts are very inspiring and insightful. About the socks… I’ll pass on that one. My feet enjoy to be foot-loose and fancy-free. However, feel free to get a pair and wear them for me if you want.
Thanks, Lois! I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. And I'll keep building my comfy sock collection. 👍
A beautiful tender poem. Today my socks are cheap and comfy but leave black fluff balls between my toes.
Thank you, Treasa! And comfy is the sock attribute that really matters! 😊
That last stanza hits perfectly! Great job.
Thank you, Daniel! :)
Age
Like fog,
Creeps in on little cat feet.
So pet the cat.
Good poem Adam.
Thanks, Malcolm!
"Growing" old.... Yes!
Thanks, Autumn!
Thank you!!
… I love my socks!!
Thank you, An! I'm so happy you enjoyed the poem. (And I'm glad you have good socks!)
(Also... the dog in your profile picture is adorable!)
Thank you! I wish I could write like that!!
Thanks! Me too!! Life sucks when ya have cold feet!! LOL
He ( Teddy ) knows it too and is not afraid to use it … he knows that I’m a whimp and a pushover!
Very Nice 😊 I am grappling with the concept of growing older. I like the message & the way Adam delivers it. Like a fine wine 🍷
Thank you, Vanessa! I really appreciate the comment. :)
This is wonderful! Love it.
Thank you! :)
A well deserved compliment.
Brilliant, Adam! Thank you!
Thanks, Paul! I appreciate that.
